CIBC: Low borrowing rates to continue until 2014

As reported on CTV.ca, combined with cash-strapped consumers and reduced government spending, the CIBC said conditions will likely compel the Bank of Canada to keep its trend-setting benchmark lending rate low until the U.S. economy picks up pace and its effects are felt north of the border.

That could mean waiting until sometime in 2014.
